Homophonic translation: Take a poem in a foreign language that you can pronounce but not necessarily understand and translate the sound of the poem into English (e.g., French "blanc" to blank or "toute" to toot). Translate the first line or lines and then switch. Choose from: Jacques Prevert, Kalevala, Cecilia Meireles
Copy a line from a narrative text. One minute to add your own text. Scroll up so that only your text is showing. Suggested sources: Pulp Westerns, Sailor Moon Transcripts
Sonnet. Write a 10 word line of a sonnet. Pass to the next person. No more than a minute per line!
One minute flarf ("the flarf method resembles in some sense: a) the use of a thesaurus; b) eavesdropping and quoting; c) sampling; d) collage / cut-&-paste"). Deliberately bad poetry. Do a google search on a or 3 stupid words ("dingle mommy wunkle" or whatever) and then riff on the resulting text fragments for one minute. Pass on to the next writer.
