Well, I looked over this list - and it appears quite accurate!

HOWEVER, it just proves what historians already know - if you add enough adjectives to anything it can be a "first". After all this is "the first time I have replied to this question on the Community Memory server on or before March 10, 1997" - perhaps that should also go into the record book.

Real historians really don't trust claims of being "first" in anything (just like real men really do eat quiche)!
