Sorry, I only read this series a few minutes ago. Almost none of the RFCs 1-500 is online; few of those 500-700 are; nearly all of 800-present are.
Years ago, I spoke to Dave Walden and Alex MacKenzie about putting *all* of them on a CD. Dave has since retired, but Alex was still interested when I last spoke to him. He, incidentally, is in possession of the BBN ``set'' in several dozen looseleaf binders. As was noted, Jon Postel is the ``official'' keeper of the RFCs and has been so since the very beginning in early 1969.
At some time in the next few months, Peer-to-Peer will be publishing RFCs 1-20 & 51 in a volume I'm editing.
If there's anyone out there with about $150K to ``sponsor'' data entry, proofreading, and production of CDs, let me know. I'd love to coordinate something like this.
