At approximately 10:00 am today, the Supreme Court of the United States ruled that the Communications Decency Act is unconstitutional.
The justices were divied 7-2 over the decision. Full text of the decision is available at:

An excerpt follows:
"The (Communications Decency Act) is a content-based regulation of speech. The vagueness of such a regulation raises special First Amendment concerns because of its obvious chilling effect on free speech."
"The CDA, casting a far darker shadow over free speech, threatens to torch a large segment of the Internet community."
