>When, where, to who and how was the FIRST e-mail sent? I am interested in knowing the history of e-mail and how it came to where it is today... so feel free to expand past the initial e-mail occurence!
If I remember correctly, there was already an e-mail function (single-system only, since no networking was available) on the CTSS time-sharing system at MIT when I started using it in late 1965. This might have been available since CTSS first came up, in 1961 or 1962 I think.
