Hi Alex -- did you guys ever try running IBM's 1401 FORTRAN complier on the H200? As I recall, it was a three pass compiler with intermediate output punched on cards between passes. I also recall a COBOL compiler for the 1410 -- it output assembly language which then had to be assembled, and it often had sytnax errors! Needless to say, nearly all programs were written in assembly language (or RPG or FARGO).
