Community Memory: Discussion List on the History of Cyberspace ______________________________________________________________________
Have been following with interest the very technical details of the development of computers and intend to contribute my bit about the early use of telememo in Australian schools (particularly NSW) in the early eighties...perhaps the early users of a mailing system like email. However, in the meantime, I have been requested to help a Yr 12 student prepare for a speech on the history of computing and the effect computers have had on our lives.
Who is prepared to summarise the past twenty years and list the important facts that should be included in such a speech? Not specifically in America but overall--worldwide.
