Standard Deviations
Project Standard Deviations is designed to make people stop in their everyday, habitual routes to observe something different. We placed chalk arrows on sidewalks that are high traffic areas for those students whose only goal is to either get to class or get home. Many of these students are so buried within I-pods, blinded by sunglasses and distracted by their own struts that they may not have even noticed the arrows. Therefore, if you are visiting this website, you are ready for a change.
Continue on to our project page to find out more about our class assignment and to download the tracks our group members have taken. Please feel free to leave comments regarding the paths you have taken or regarding your observations on along our paths. Although we have provided mp3 guided tours as an alternative use for your I-pod, we also encourage you to walk your own path.
