The drawers in my desk are organized by necessity (the top drawer has the things I use most often and the bottom drawer is the things I like close but do not need as much).
My Dvds are all in alphabetical order and my books are organized by the ones I have read and the ones I still need to read. Then they are organized by the size and binding of the book. Finally within these categories I have organized them in alphbetical order.
I am only slightly neurotic, but it is who I am and it makes my life easier if everything is organized.
