Our now sixteen year old son grew out of the pinstripes a few years ago. His furniture graduated from a crib to the "This End's Up" Crate bunkbeds to a double bed. The room now sports a teenage, more masculine look:
- Americana wallpaper with an antique background
- An Oak desk scattered with books, marbles, and pens
- Six metal crates stacked in two rows of three next to the desk that house the overflow
- On the walls:
- A Lord of the Rings poster above the desk
- A Napoleon Dynamite poster above the head of his bed
- A dartboard about 15 feet to the right of the Dyamite poster
- Pictures, on the back of his door, from a recent mission trip he took to Honduras
- A Lord of the Rings poster above the desk
- A double bed with red plaid flannel sheets and a denim comforter
- A table balancing a small television (no cable), a stereo, and some X-Box games
- An X-Box 360 on the floor
- A guitar leaning against the wall next to the stero
- A futon chair in the corner by the door
Trey and his friends can often be found scattered about over his bed and floor playing X-Box or listening to music. These same boys (who often played for hours in this room with legos and spent a lot of time jumping on the bed) now wear shoes sized 9 to size 16 and speak with rich, deep toned voices.
