My Personal BEDROOM

A bedroom to many is just an ordinary room. After careful examination I have been able to discover this bedroom is indeed my species of space. Sure, from the naked it eye is is a room that contains a bed, a closet, a window, a dresser, a desk, a computer, various objects, and different forms of clothes. The actual bedroom however, is the holder all the objects and therefore becomes the actual representation of that space and what happens inside of it. A bedroom can be used for various activities. It is where you begin and end your day. It is where you sleep at night. It is where you prepare yourself for the future, the day that awaits you the second you open your door to the outside world. I have2 bedroom however. Most people only control one. I have one here at school and one at home. Although when I begin another school year, that room at home no longer feels like home just as the bedroom here at first feels like a stranger.

It is a stranger at first because: the bed has noT been slept in for at least 3 months the dresser hasnt been personalized the pictures are out dated and have not been changed to accomodate to my everyday changing life the mirrors have not been looked in but now, here I am back in what I call my bedroom.I realize this small room is more than a bedroom but a home to me. I call it a cubby-hole. It is the smallest space I have ever lived in before. But somehow, someway I was able to personalize it. THE BED

the bed you see as soon as you actually enter the room. It is where I rest, where I dream. It is where I am able to decide what I want to do without having anyone respond. It is red. Bright red.

The Closet: The closet doors take up an entire side of my wall. Inside is where you can find me. Not literally but actually. My clothes, shoes, belts, bags, and extra storage is inside of there incase I may be looking for it. The doors stay shut, never open. That way I know I am inside but incase visitors are here they wont be able to identify me as easily.

The dresser

The dresser holds more clothes. But what is the most important part is what is on top. I have different objects. I have candles so I know Im not too far from home, I hold jewelery incase Im feeling special. I hold different fragrances ontop as well so I can also personalize myself with a spray of scent. My very own. A small TV also rests upon my dresser. I dont watch much tv hardly any at all. Its for late at night so I can cast differnt shapes and shadown off of my white walls so I realize when I think I am alone I really never a

The Desk

This is where I do my work. I write a lot of papers and I carry an online addiction to instant messaging. My books are placed here. Two picture frames are also on top one of my family anf one of my friends from home. And now we have come full circle back to my bed. On this side of my bed there is a window. On the gloomiest days, my view outside of my window is possibly the most depressing sight to see. It is a small hill that hold on a dozen trees. But for some reason my blinds that are black stay open, so I am not shut up from the rest of the world. My carpet is beige light enough to add space but dark enough to hide any common stains or dirt. My room is clean, cleaned almost twice a week.

REARRANGED

My room has been rearranged almost every semester. In hope of some type of change whether it be big or small. There isnt much a person could do with this room, but somehow I have managed to rearrange it as much as possible.

TIME

There is a small white [clock]?, digital that rests next to my bed. It tells me when to turn on and when to shut off. It operates the activity in this room. Memories: In a small box next to my desk and dresser there is a box that contains memories, good and bad. Pictures, old cards, old letters. From time to time this box is revisited but at other times it sits quietly in its place until I am once again ready to look inside. Theres not much to this space, but a bed, white walls, dresser, desk and a closet... And a person who lives inside of it.

Deanna: - I really like the writing here. It's clear and interesting, and paints a reflective and introspective picture of your through bits and pieces, throguh your room and items, and so on. - Consider sizing down some of the images and integrating them with/into the text more. A lot of them overpower the page and make it hard to think about the text and images together. - In some cases, you've just got a page with a large image. Write some in relation to the image. What's the story of the image (what's pictured)? What does it mean to you? - You haven't integrated video, as far as I can tell...?

This is in the B range.

Formatting thoughts: Look above on this main page - don't use the underline format in your titles, since the headings already are underlined! The facebook link doesn't work (grey eyes).
